莎娃肩傷 退出WTA錦標賽

（路透伊斯坦堡8日電）世界排名第三的俄羅斯網球女將夏拉波娃（Maria Sharapova）今天宣布，退出季末在土耳其伊斯坦堡舉行的世界女子職業網球協會錦標賽（WTA Championship），原因是讓她無法參加美國公開賽的肩傷尚未痊癒。

26歲的夏拉波娃自8月在辛辛那提網球賽的第二輪吞敗，不敵美國對手史蒂芬斯（Sloane Stephens）後，即未曾再出賽。夏拉波娃今天在WTA官網表示：「我深感失望，無法參加今年的WTA錦標賽。」她又說：「伊斯坦堡的球迷每年都展現如此熱情，溫馨歡迎我們。我衷心懷念他們為這項年終賽事帶來的活力和激勵。」中央社（翻譯）
