路透社29日引述消息人士說，退休的英國足球明星貝克漢(David Beckham)，已經選好美國的邁阿密，作為成立美國足球大聯盟(U.S. Major League Soccer，MLS)新球隊的地點。

貝克漢這位前英國國家隊隊長，是在今年初從足壇退役，他曾為MLS洛杉磯銀河隊效力，而他的合約包括了以2,500萬美元注資，成立一支新球隊的選擇權。

據傳貝克漢曾考慮了許多地點，並在今年夏天前往邁阿密和當地的政府高層會面。一旦順利，貝克漢可望在耶誕節前後就成為MLS球團的老板。
