世界大賽連上壘 老爹平紀錄

〔自由時報記者林三豐／綜合報導〕近況超火的紅襪「老爹」歐提茲昨天又敲出3支安打，貢獻1分打點，追平世界大賽連9打席上壘的大聯盟紀錄，隊友羅斯開玩笑說：「這傢伙不知從哪個星球來的？」

歐提茲首打席就擊出二壘安打，護送佩卓亞得到紅襪第1分，4局上再敲出中外野安打，可惜6局上打成平飛球被接殺，無緣改寫世界大賽連續上壘紀錄，讓紅雀先發投手韋恩萊特以「喪心病狂的火熱」形容歐提茲的近況。

世界大賽打擊率7成33

頂著超過100公斤的體重，歐提茲最後一席又奮力跑出內野安打，目前世界大賽打完5場，老爹15打數敲出11安，打擊率7成33，有2發全壘打與2支二壘安打，包辦6分打點，假如紅襪順利拿到世界大賽冠軍，老爹與萊斯特都是MVP的熱門人選。

紅雀總教練馬瑟尼原本對付老爹的策略是盡可能投「難打」的球給他，也不願意保送，但歐提茲踏進打擊區的頻率比紅雀預期得更多，「很不幸地他現在手感正好，這項策略愈來愈難執行。」
