雖然待在洛杉磯湖人的時間不長，「CDR」Chris Douglas-Roberts對於「紫金一哥」Kobe Bryant的行為舉止依舊印象深刻，28日他就透露一段訓練時的小故事。

「訓練營的第一天，總教練Mike Brown就讓我和Kobe單挑，他以為是把我丟到火坑，但他不知道我期待這天很久了。」Douglas-Roberts說。

「我們比數很接近，Kobe為了勝利，無所不用其極，甚至對著我揮肘，但我始終沒有示弱，還差點大打出手，裁判好像嚇到了，趕緊吹犯規制止我們。」CDR說。

不過一碼歸一碼，CDR認為訓練再怎麼激烈，大家私底下都是好兄弟，他表示：「回到場下，我們彼此尊重，他給了我很多無價的指導，很多人都誤會他了。」

「人們認為他是混蛋（sucker）、很難相處的傢伙，那只是因為他尊重大部分的隊友，因為他自我要求相當高。」CDR說。

「他是我見過最真誠的人，他從不說謊，我很尊敬那樣的他。」CDR說。

Douglas-Roberts在2012年10月與湖人簽下訓練營合約，雖然月底遭釋出、轉效達拉斯小牛，他與曾經是「天下第一人」的Bryant這段「情」似乎還是很有意義。
