服用禁藥被禁賽211場，但因在上訴中而得以出賽的A-Rod(Alex Rodriguez)，昨出戰巨人，在第7局敲出個人生涯第24支滿貫轟，超越自己和洋基名將賈里格(Lou Gehrig)共同保持的紀錄，成為大聯盟最多滿貫砲球員，洋基終場也以5比1獲勝，在美聯外卡爭奪戰中，保住ㄧ線生機。
