火箭助教 看好林書豪防守力

火箭控球後衛林書豪常被認為攻優於守，在火箭助理教練山普森眼中，他的防守能力優於外界的評論。

山普森表示：「我覺得林書豪比一般人想的還要擅長防守，他在協防上給球隊很多幫助，特別是針對弱邊的防守，他擅於判斷傳球路線，製造對手掉球，能掌握失去控制的球。」

另一專欄作家畢納也肯定林書豪的防守，他指出，林書豪防守確實還待提升，但就某些時段來看，他積極的態度使其防守仍具侵略性，會給對手帶來極大壓迫感。

網站「Hoop Files」作家尚恩也點出，不管誰去看管聯盟頂級控衛，難免會有跟不上的時候，這不能怪林書豪，或許他的防守比不上進攻，但也不弱，他夠靈活、腳步夠快，能給對手製造困擾，大多時候的一對一較量中，他不一定居下風，就算失去位置，他也會盡快去盯離他最近的球員，不讓對手輕鬆得分。
