火箭捕獲魔獸 3理由遊說成功

今年(2013)夏天霍華德(Dwight Howard)成為自由市場上震撼力最強的震撼彈，吸引眾多球隊爭取，而火箭是第二支跟魔獸進行面談的隊伍，今(18日)球隊總經理莫雷(Daryl Morey)透露，當時遊說霍華德成功的三大理由。

霍華德暑假成為各隊爭取的對象，而最終由火箭順利迎來魔獸，先前傳聞指出，火箭不僅「銀彈」攻勢猛烈、帕森斯(Chandler Parsons)努力遊說之外，更透過姚明、歐拉朱萬(Hakeem Olajuwon)等隊史傳奇球星也擔任「說客」。

但火箭總經理莫雷今(18日)透露3大理由，讓霍華德心動加盟，「第一，一支球隊裡需要有許多精英等級的球員，才能拿下總冠軍，第二，火箭有足夠的薪資空間，以及很多優秀的年輕選手，可以幫助霍華德和球隊，第三，總教練是傳奇中鋒麥克海爾(kevin mchale)。」

談起新樣貌的火箭隊，莫雷信心滿滿認為，火箭陣容已經比過去要豪華，且其中有許多得分好手，「但也不用擔心其他球員沒有出手機會，相信帕森斯這類的球員也能打得很開心。」
