〔自由時報記者陳筱琳／綜合外電報導〕離NBA2013-14球季正式開打還有兩個多月，美國《運動畫刊》專欄作家馬侯尼評比火箭隊季外陣容調整，給了「A+」好分數。

馬侯尼認為，網羅明星中鋒豪爾德是火箭正確的一步，他與得分後衛哈登的搭配將是球隊成為角逐總冠軍強隊的基礎，儘管火箭讓陣容更趨完美還有一小段空間，但已可見「魔獸」、「大鬍子」未來有望成聯盟極具影響力的組合。

馬侯尼並指出，火箭為清出薪資空間在自由球員市場搶人，2012-13季中已交易大前鋒小莫里斯和派特森，球季結束後也賣掉羅賓森，在戴菲諾和布魯克斯合約變成保障薪資前揮棄兩球員，之後再以較低薪資簽回布魯克斯，加上保有中鋒亞席克、控衛林書豪等功能性球員，讓球隊沒任何犧牲，就有足夠空間和豪爾德簽下4年8760萬美元（約26.2億台幣）合約。

馬侯尼認為火箭季外沒有做錯什麼決定，唯一要批評的可能是沒拿亞席克去換一名具先發水準的大前鋒，不過這不會造成太大傷害，火箭能等有好交易時再行動。
