因腹傷休兵的貝弗利僅花5天就回到場上，讓火箭先發控衛爭奪戰重現。從昨役數據來看，林書豪稍優於貝弗利，但教頭麥克海爾心思難測，說詞經常反覆，很難猜出他會怎樣調度。

火箭官方本月2日出戰小牛的上午練投，突然宣布貝弗利腹肌拉傷，詭異的是，他明明有穿練習服出席練球，整個人也活蹦亂跳，甚至在林書豪受訪時，突然從後用力（腹傷？）抱住林書豪，且說：「這是我兄弟！」

當天賽前練習時，貝弗利仍穿著訓練服現身，認真且拚命投入訓練，一練就半小時，看不出是有傷的模樣，如今他提前5天重返球場，其實並不意外。

麥克海爾昨也前後矛盾，他賽前表示，會限制貝弗利上場時間，結果呢？貝弗利上場29分鐘（只比林書豪少30秒），末節更幾乎打滿，直到最後2分34秒才上的林書豪，又嘗上季關鍵時刻坐板凳滋味。

依昨役火箭的調度，尤其是第4節，證明麥克海爾並不信任林書豪。在籃球場上，實力與數據仍屬一切，林書豪只有繼續專注打球就對了。
