發球速度快 小威直落二奪冠

2013中網公開賽女單決賽，頭號種子小威廉絲（Serena Williams）直落兩盤以6-2、6-2擊敗塞爾維亞名將揚科維奇（Jelena Jankovic），時隔9年再次獲得中網女單冠軍。

比賽中，小威的優勢十分明顯，首盤兩次破掉對手的發球局，以6-2先聲奪人，第二盤小威雖然有舊傷復發的跡象，又浪費了兩個賽末點，但是最終還是以6-2再勝一盤，獲得冠軍。憑藉這場勝利，小威對戰3連勝，兩人的交鋒紀錄改寫為7勝4負。

本場比賽，小威的發球平均速度很快，正是她取勝的關鍵，「我嘗試大力發球，加強了大力發球，接球也做了練習。」

小威曾在2004年獲得過中網的冠軍，她說：「拿到獎盃是最好記憶，沒想到2004年之後重返北京再拿到冠軍，這次中網之行獲得許多樂趣，帶來很多美好回憶。」

這是小威本賽季獲得的第10個、職業生涯第56個WTA賽事單打冠軍。
