拒談上賽季 狼王盼強勢復出

「過去就讓它留在過去吧！」這或許是灰狼明星前鋒洛夫(Kevin Love)在歷經生涯最挫敗的賽季後，最想說的一句話。上季因為2度弄斷手掌骨、左膝急需動刀之下，缺席了64場例行賽，這個休賽季洛夫苦練投籃，並成功減重；面對新賽季他充滿自信，「我從沒如此期待上場打球過，還有請停止再談去年的事。」
近幾年飽受「傷病魔咒」摧殘的灰狼隊，上季在「狼王」洛夫只打了18場比賽，賽季就提前報銷的情況下，連續9季與季後賽無緣。對於這「慘烈」的一個賽季，洛夫顯然不願再談，將目光放在新賽季，「這個世界上最美好的事情，就是有個全新的開始，生活是不斷的奮鬥，你必須要繼續往前進。」
上季這位年輕的明星前鋒2度弄斷手掌骨，復出前夕卻傳出左膝需要動刀，讓他的賽季被迫提早結束，不過他的復原狀況相當良好，這個休賽季他積極投入訓練，希望能夠再次證明自己是聯盟最佳大前鋒，「這將是全新的賽季，我們能做的是努力贏下比賽，在場上奮戰不懈。」
灰狼後衛巴瑞亞(J.J. Barea)也感受到洛夫想在新賽季有所作為的決心，「當你看著他，你就會知道他減重了，而且這個夏天他和聯盟其他人一樣非常努力練習，他相當興奮，迫不及待要上場打球了。」
上個月才正式宣布新賽季會繼續執掌兵符的教頭艾德曼(Rick Adelman)，則認為「狼王」還有很大的進步空間，他的實力不只如此，「現在有很多球員在他身邊，他不需要像2年前一樣，一個人扛下所有的責任，他也能藉此提升自己的比賽。」
今夏灰狼換了新的籃球事務部總裁桑德斯(Flip Saunders)、補進射手馬丁(Kevin Martin)和布魯爾(Corey Brewer)等人，也與中鋒佩科維奇(Nikola Pekovic)完成續約，為球隊帶來新氣象；對此洛夫抱持樂觀的態度，「很高興桑德斯來到我們的球隊，我和他有很棒的對話；我想球隊的每個人，都認為我們能夠往前跨一大步，並完成未完成的目標。」
