洋基能晉級？A-Rod：當然

正在峭壁旁、只靠手抓住懸崖的洋基隊，能否絕處逢生，闖進季後賽？Robinson Cano、Alex Rodriguez的答案，都是「會的！」

「我相信棒球之神，會為Mariano Rivera寫個好劇本。」Cano說。帶傷上陣的A-Rod認為，即使洋基隊只剩下最後十來場比賽，但「更神奇的事情都曾發生過」，他期待洋基隊拉出一波連勝，搶下門票。

「我一直都相信，」教頭Joe Girardi說，「8、9月打得不好的，可不只有我們，其他隊伍近況也不好，我們機會還是很大。只要能贏個很多場，機會就在眼前。」

從賽程來看，似乎對洋基隊有利，他們先跟同區墊底藍鳥隊打三連戰，接下來再跟國聯西區倒數第二巨人隊對戰三場。機會已經出現，但要是洋基隊無法把握，到了10月也只能在家看電視。
