2013年「末代東亞運」，台灣代表團將派出史上之最的470人爭金搶銀，但中華男籃隊以亞錦賽原班人馬應戰，引發不少爭議，不過身為球員的李學林有話要說。

中華隊自4月東亞資格賽以來，幾乎沒有好好休息，亞錦賽結束半個月左右，又回到熟悉的台北捷運北投機廠會館集訓，讓許多球迷不捨這些球員的辛勞，希望能像其他國家一樣，以年輕球員應戰。

「身為球員，披上中華隊球衣是種榮耀，也是義務。」李學林雖然有傷在身，今天開訓還是盡量跟著大家練習。

根據現行國光獎章制度，若東亞運奪金，每位球員可獲得30萬元，若得到銀牌也有15萬。

東亞運籃球層級不高，大部分的國家隊都以年輕球員為主，中華隊若以「黃金陣容」應戰，奪牌機率不小。

中華男籃隊光榮返國，在台北信義區舉行球迷見面會，獲亞錦賽「最佳5人」殊榮的隊長「野獸」林志傑（左2），出場時向粉絲們揮雙手致意。
