藍鳥隊日籍野手川崎宗則14日被叫上大聯盟，並且馬上就讓他先發上場，他4打數沒有安打，但是他的精彩美技還在，藍鳥隊最後以4:3在延長賽險勝。

川崎宗則第3次上大聯盟當然還是受到球迷熱烈歡迎，也有球迷拿著日文的「歡迎你回來」看板加油，川崎人氣不減。

川崎宗則一上大聯盟球隊就贏球，他以先發9棒、二壘手的身份上場。

可惜他4次打擊除了吞下三振、滾地球外，也擊出外野飛球被接殺，並沒有安打演出。

不過川崎宗則最引以為傲的守備還健在，他在4局上沒收了Mike Napoli的穿越安打，以「鯉躍龍門」的方式接殺，展現美技。

其實他在賽前就曾經說過想要「完全燃燒」的決心，加上這樣的美技，真不得不幫他拍拍手。

藍鳥隊這場比賽雖然一路領先到9局上，不過紅襪打線靠著Napoli 的2分彈追平比分，把賽事帶入延長。

還好10局下Brett Lawrie敲出再見安打建功，藍鳥隊以1分之差險勝。
