亞錦賽昨開幕，除了場外有台灣球迷揮舞中華民國國旗替中華隊加油，《菲律賓星報》(Philippine Star)的亞錦賽特刊(見圖)，也「掛」上國旗來報導中華隊，並將中華隊列為晉級8強的勁旅。《菲律賓星報》引敘菲律賓教練瑞斯(Chot Reyes)的看法表示，中華隊和菲律賓的隊形與球風很類似，除了有速度與外線，歸化中鋒戴維斯更提升中華隊禁區戰力，整體實力不容小覷，有機會自2009年亞錦賽第5名後再創佳績。(圖╱李鴻明．文╱蔡裕隆)
