奪冠力 火箭總管：還輸3隊

雖然成功延攬「超人」霍華入隊，且整體實力提升到另一檔次，但，火箭總管莫瑞深知想要奪取總冠軍仍稍嫌不足，「以目前來看，我們的陣容與戰力還不如熱火、馬刺和雷霆。」

火箭今夏在自由市場為了追尋霍華可說是用盡所有資源，最終以4年8800萬美元簽下當今全聯盟數一數二的中鋒好手。

面對不斷有專家建議火箭應該將林書豪與阿西克交易出去建議，莫瑞再度出面闢謠澄清，我們絕不考慮送走兩人，因為，林書豪和阿西克很適合火箭進攻與防守體系，尤其是林書豪的擋切執行力與效率都在聯盟前5名，球隊沒有理由放棄他。

至於新球季目標，莫瑞強調，我們已擁有霍華，但還需要靠時間來磨合與沒養默契，加上管理與教練階層尚有缺陷，因此整體而言還不具奪冠實力。
