被網友暱稱「包爺」的包提斯塔(Jose Bautista，見圖)，前4打席都沒建樹，但9局上從白襪終結者李德(Addison Reed)手中敲出追平比數的陽春砲，一棒助建仔逃過敗投，更開啟藍鳥逆轉勝契機。
包提斯塔是2010~11年連續2年大聯盟全壘打王，但在與白襪打系列戰前打擊陷入低潮，不但連10場都沒開轟，安打、打點也不多，但前天他找回手感，先演出單場雙響砲、5分打點，昨又擊出關鍵全壘打，他說：「老實說，我今天對直球掌握得不好，所以很幸運地，他(李德)對我投了顆滑球。」(記者賴德剛)
